Inside Tether's Brands and Buyers Brunch

On February 9, 2026, Tether welcomed cannabis brands and retail buyers to the beautiful Ancaster Mill for its second-ever Brands and Buyers Brunch. Since launching the event series in 2025, Brands and Buyers has quickly become a valuable relationship-building opportunity, bringing together the people responsible for getting products onto shelves with the brands working to earn and grow that distribution.

A Different Kind of Industry Event

Brands and Buyers was created to deliver meaningful business conversations that support real commercial outcomes. Instead of navigating a crowded trade show floor or focusing primarily on sampling, retail-ready brands and service providers meet with retail decision-makers responsible for purchasing in a setting where conversations can lead to new listings, stronger retail partnerships, improved merchandising strategies, inventory planning, and long-term growth.

For retailers, the event provides direct access to new and popular products, established suppliers, and service providers that can help strengthen store performance. For brands, it offers face-to-face time with the people responsible for retail shelves. That combination has made Brands and Buyers one of Tether's fastest-growing event formats, with strong demand from both brands and retailers since its launch.

By the Numbers

The Hamilton event welcomed 88 qualified retail buyers representing 535 Ontario cannabis stores. Every conversation created an opportunity to strengthen an existing relationship, introduce a new product, explore future promotions, or build the foundation for long-term business.

Value That Extends Beyond Event Day

Participating in Brands and Buyers means more than showing up for one morning of networking. Every brand partner is supported by a coordinated marketing campaign that keeps them visible before, during, and after the event.

For Hamilton, Tether delivered targeted email campaigns that reached more than 200 Ontario retail decision-makers, while O2O expanded that reach to more than 600 independent retailers through its network.

The event was promoted across Tether’s Instagram and LinkedIn, reaching more than 8,000 cannabis industry professionals. Participating brands were also featured in editions of Tether's newsletter, reaching more than 3,600 industry contacts, with additional exposure through IRC Collective, StratCann, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up.
