Jumpstart Your Cannabis Career With a No Cost, Hands-on Training

Being here is the first step to achieving your goals!

The Canadian cannabis industry has made a significant contribution to the economy since legalization. Even throughout the pandemic, it was one of the few sectors still hiring and looking for talent.

If you’re passionate about cannabis and interested in pursuing a career in the field but are unsure where to start, we’ve got you covered with all the resources you need at The Career Foundation (TCF).

The cannabis industry is booming and set to hit record highs in terms of growth this year. It’s safe to say that the opportunities within the market are limitless with the right training to land your first cannabis job.

Our team is proud to say we’ve been helping aspiring talent enter the cannabis workforce through our no cost program where students get qualified and equipped to work as a cannabis production worker at the end of the six-week program.

If you’re passionate and ready to take the next step towards a career in cannabis, don’t let financial or higher education prerequisites stop you.

Here are some initial points about the Cannabis Production Worker Training & Recruitment Program/Skills Advance Ontario (SAO) unique to The Career Foundation to get you started.

Understand you why

Everyone has different intentions and aspirations and that’s okay! As long as you know why and what you want to achieve, our team can help non-college persons and people of all ages find and secure great career opportunities.

Get the right training to ‘know your stuff’

This program has been designed in conjunction with industry leaders and experts to ensure every student receives the real-life skills they need to impress employers and make an impact.

Mathew Columbro, Cannabis Industry Advisor.  “I have been working in the cannabis industry in the regulatory, strategy, supply chain and education sectors for several years and I have not seen a program like this that can provide hands-on training, job placement and continued career support at no cost to participants. All curriculum and training elements are developed with input from LPs on the programs advisory board. Many of them are the employers that will be hiring the graduates once they complete the training. It's a win-win situation for job seekers and employers.

Leverage your skills

With our unique training program, everyone is guaranteed the support of our team to help update their resume and assist with their job search and placement. The results of the program have been phenomenal over the past three years and we are confident that students will be able to take the transferable skills and training they learn immediately into the cannabis workforce.

It's hard to find appropriate training courses for cannabis industry jobs, let alone no cost training and the opportunity to get your “foot in the door” within the industry. The Career Foundation provides both.
